Our founder, Kyle Thomas, discovered this firsthand after a car accident left him with persistent back pain that interfered with his studies and daily life. Traditional treatments provided little relief, and anxiety and depression became daily realities. Feeling desperate, he took a chance on a Tai Chi program - and within one month, his back pain was gone.
Before bringing his work to Brunswick and the Golden Isles, Kyle founded Juneau Family Acupuncture in Alaska, where he helped thousands of patients recover from conditions such as neuropathy, sciatica, chronic pain, failed back surgeries, Long COVID, and traumatic brain injuries - including cases that had lasted decades. Many of these patients had been told they had no options beyond managing symptoms with medication.
When asked why he chose Brunswick, Kyle’s answer is simple: medical need - and he was tired of shoveling snow off his roof. Today, he is proud to serve the local community while embracing the laid-back Low-country lifestyle.
